Toast

Yesterday morning I smelled toast. There’s an internet meme about smelling toast being one of the symptoms of having a stroke – I'm pretty sure I didn’t. After asking around, and was surprised to discover that the Research Triangle Park in Durham North Carolina is home of one of the largest toast distributors on the east coast.

East Coast Toast (NYSE: ECT) is the largest fresh toast distributor in the entire southeast. In the early hours of each morning 2,500 trucks head out to deliver freshly baked toast to restaurants, retail stores, universities, and prisons. All together, ECT bakes and delivers over 750 tons of bread products and brews 20,000 cups of fresh coffee.
